Ideally the model building is often incomplete without proper accessories which are not only important to do the job well but also help in having a greater appeal in the finished product. We have herewith listed some important model accessories in the form of tools and other helpful material that will enable you to complete your model building conveniently.
Some of the basic model accessories include.
You should have liquid poly for the major gluing work.
Tube type polystyrene cement also comes handy for some jobs and thinning the filler.
Always get some pipettes for controlled movement of liquids such as enamel thinner into paint.
Super glue, for the odd job that might come up in the middle of it.
Maskol or similar latex based masking liquid, if the need be.
You may also require paints and matching thinner and you will especially be careful about the thinner brand as it can eat the plastic model.
A good work board or tray with a lid to keep the dust off.
Another important accessory is paintbrush of various sizes and all the paint for the model to be built before you start it.
Scalpel knife if you can get it or maybe just the blade.
Tweezers, consider them most essential part of the project.
Side cutters and small radio type needle nose pliers, that might come handy in situations.
Also add small clamps and clothes pegs to your model accessory list.
Masking tape is also handy. You can use this for taping things together temporarily as well as paint masking.
